There's plenty of places to see in Europe that makes it great and affordable for a holiday. From the mountains of Switzerland to the rolling hills of the English countryside, if it's scenery you're after, Europe has it all. There's also a multitude of cosmopolitan, vibrant cities to explore. Paris, London and Rome have long been firm favourites with travellers, but there are many other cities which have grown in popularity over recent years including Barcelona, Berlin and Madrid.

The choice is so diverse that it's impossible to comprehensively cover all Europe has to offer so what's represented here is just the tip of the iceberg. From Norway to Nicosia, Europe is an endlessly fascinating and rewarding continent to explore.

France

France has been the most popular holiday destination over the last 20 years. France boasts a beautiful countryside that produces some of the best wines and cheeses in the world, haute couture, fabulous Atlantic beaches, and many world historical sites.
Places of interest in France are Paris, the French Alps, the French Riviera, and the historical sites of Normandy, Brittany and Loire Valley.

Turkey

A member of the EU where progressive social change meets an ancient thriving culture rich in antiquities, music, and entertainment for any taste. Sailing and surfing can be had on it's many beaches, and quiet wanderings through ancient stone streets that have stood the test of time offer something for everyone.

Places of interest include Ankara, Turkey's capital and Istanbul, the gateway between East and West. Bodrum is a coastal city that comes alive during summer, you can find Roman ruins and a vibrant nightlife. Konya is home to steppes, the Sufis and Rumi's tomb. Ankara is a historical city filled with beautiful Byzantine architecture.

Greece

Greece boasts a long history and language that dates almost 4000 years. With a wide climate range, including a cold mountain climate, warm Mediterranean beaches, and seasonal weather in the north. With a welcoming population and a party atmosphere, Greece is great for holiday.

Places of interest include: Athens, Greece's capital and home of the Parthenon. Chania on the island of Crete, is well known for it's sunny beaches and the Samaria Gorge. Chersonissos is the party capital of Crete during summer holidays, and Heraklion is Crete's largest city and the site of Knossos.

Spain

Spain is known for it's party atmosphere, fantastic beaches, picturesque countryside and history. Spain offers many festivals all year long, and delicious cuisine.
Places worth exploring are Madrid, the capital city which has much to see. Barcelona, which has Spain's best beaches, and Pamplona, where the Running of the Bulls happens annually. Ibiza and the Canary Islands are also great to visit, Ibiza especially in summer time.

Russia

Russia is the world's largest country, with nine time zones and bridges Europe and Asia. Ten percent of it's population reside in Moscow, which is the tenth most popular holiday destination on Earth.

Moscow is Russia's capital, with gorgeous architecture, active nightlife, and countless other attractions for people to explore on holiday. Saint Petersburg contains the Hermitage, and is considered one of the world's largest museum cities. Vladivostok is filled with battleships and hilly scenic streets. Lake Baikal, also known as the pearl of Siberia, is the deepest lake in the world.
