Malaysia Holidays 2011
The exciting and exotic holiday destination of Malaysia offers the visitor an interesting and hectic city experience, laid back and sensational sandy beaches and a wildlife safari adventure via the dense and mysterious rain forest (look out for the famous orang-utans). Aside from the beaches, water sports are also on offer and a tour round the historical British colonial architecture is highly recommended. The Capital
Food and Culture Malaysia is a real melting pot of cultures. Chinese, Indian, Malay and indigenous peoples all have a strong influence on the everyday workings of the country and nowhere is this more pronounced than in the fantastic food on offer. Restaurant prices are generally extremely reasonable considering the quality and choice on offer. Favourite dishes are satay (peanut flavoured curry sauce), skewered meat, prawns, fried vegetables, egg and rice. Coconut milk is also a favourite with curries and food stalls are even cheaper than sit down restaurants and offer excellent quality.
Malaysia is famous for it's wildlife and justifiably so. In Sabah you will find the Orang-utan Rehabilitation Centre and this is well worth a visit if you want to see these beautiful animals at close quarters. Alternatively, to see them in their natural jungle habitat, a safari tour of the rain forest can be arranged. Climate As to be expected, Malaysia's climate is humid and very warm at all times of the year. Heavy rainfall is to be expected on the east coast from November to January. Sabah also has heavy rain from May to November and Sarawak from October to March. Multi Centre Holidays Due to the nature of the country, a multi centre holiday offers the visitor many exciting and diverse options. Some of the options and highlights available are as follows;
