Those on holiday enjoy a landscape spotted with ancient temples and pagodas amid modern, luxurious hotels. Of all holiday destinations for 2011 and 2012, VIetnam has to rank as one of the most exciting, vibrant and unusual. The country’s people are welcoming and friendly; and while they admire their heroes of the past, they have put the miseries of war behind them and welcome visitors with open arms. FoodVietnamese food is among the healthiest cuisines worldwide. Dishes tend to have a heavy reliance on rice, wheat and legumes, fresh herbs, spices and vegetables and minimal use of oil. Local foods include a special noodle soup (pho), spring rolls, grilled shrimp paste and grilled minced fish. Vietnamese chefs treat meat as a condiment rather than a main course. Hanoi is a small, serene city of lakes and open parks which sits on the Red River Delta. Resort DestinationNha Trang is a thriving beachside resort spanning 6 kilometers on the coast of the South China Sea.
